Following on from last week’s writeup/catch report.
The week commencing 18th July saw the return of our regulars Kathy & Roger, for their second trip this season, to our Bellevue lake. Roger and his wing woman Kathy landed 15 fish during their first week, with the biggest tipping the scales at 46lb. Closely backed up by a further 3 x 40’s to 45lb, 6 x 30’s to 37lb and 5 x 20’s to 29lb, we would say that was a pretty good first week. Strangely enough, a further 15 fish were landed during their second week which included 2 x 40’s 7 x 30’s and 4 x 20’s to 29lb. Two stunning upper doubles made up the numbers which were clearly born in the lake.
Roger & Kathy did us a massive favour during their stay this year, by looking after the complex for five days. This enabled us to return to the UK for the celebration of our daughter’s university graduation. We are bursting with pride, and just had to add a little picture for all our customers, who have met Lucy, to see. Well done kiddo and thank you so much to Kathy and Roger for stepping in and allowing us to do this.
Eager to ensure their spot remains available, Roger and Kathy are booked up through to 2029!!! You gotta be in it to win it!!
Last week we again welcomed another couple of regulars to BelleVue, Dawn & Stuart.
After very quickly unpacking, Stuart was eager to get his rods into the lake and after only an hour was very quickly rewarded with his very first Grass Carp weighing in at 37lb. Stuart landed a further 2 Grass Carp during their stay, and his total tally was 6 x 20’s to 28lb, 8 x 30’s to 38lb and the highlight of his trip was a beautiful PB Mirror weighing in at 44.10lb. Not sure what’s going on with the number 15 for fish caught on BelleVue, but we will take it.
Over on our Main Lake, which opened up for the first time in 7 weeks due to our summer closure, we again welcomed regulars to Marolles The King and Warren families. A Dad’s, lads, nephews and friends week, this was also about the social as well as the fishing. Knowing the lie of the land, the guys still took a walk around the lake to scope out where they thought the fish were feeding. The guys chose to set up close enough to enjoy each others company, and give a helping hand to each other when landing fish, in swims 7, 8, 10 & 11. A late arrival meant the guys didn’t get their rods into the water until late evening, however a great nights fishing followed with the guys landing 8 fish between them during the evening. The lake continued to produce throughout the week, with fish from coming from all over ,as the guys moved around during the day to where they saw them feeding. The final tally for the week was 34 fish to 45lb with the biggest fish of the week going to Louis. Well done that man!
A comment from our log book reads ‘Unbelievable week again! Thank you so much for looking after us, we will see you again very soon”.
It’s always a pleasure to host new and regular anglers alike and to help them create more memories to take away.
We have very limited availability remaining on our Bellevue Lake in 2027, with only two weeks left to snap up, 26th June - 3rd July and 9th - 16th October. In 2028 we have just 9 weeks remaining throughout the year. Having been approached with regard to 2029, I am thinking of opening up the diary earlier than normal, so get in touch if you would like to reserve a week.
Our main lake has sporadic weeks available throughout the 2027 season and the diary is open for 2028.
Take a look at our website and if you would like more information on how to book, just give us a shout.
