Today, it is with sadness that we share the news of a loss for Marolles Main Lake.
Our wonderful character fish, affectionately known as "Paw Print", created special memories for many of our anglers as she became their personal best or their first 50lb carp. I had the pleasure of sharing in many of these memories while photographing this lovely fish for lucky captors.
During my 50th birthday celebrations, she graced the bank for my brother and, more recently last year, provided a fantastic memory for my best mate Mark by becoming his first-ever 50lb carp. What wonderful moments.
Mother Nature can be so cruel. For many lakes across France and the UK which are enduring the crazy weather patterns this year, the dreaded reality of losing ‘big girls’ who have succumbed to being spawn-bound, has definitely hit home.
For me personally, as I never managed to land this beautiful fish, I will always remember "Paw Print" 🐾 as the one who got away.
